One of the best things about working in the photography industry is the opportunity to meet new people and collaborate together.
After getting along so well with the girls at Indie Mane salon on a recent styled shoot, we teamed up again for a Mothers Day special! An incredible afternoon of pampering, bubbles, and hair & makeup, followed by a family photography session on location.
Jules was one of the amazing women we were able to pamper and capture, along with her beautiful family.
After her indulgent session at Indie Mane, I met Jules and her family at sunset along Redhead Beach.
Everything about this afternoon was perfect. Not only did Jules look stunning, but the sunset we saw was like layers of cotton candy and a warm hug. In photography terms = a perfect combo.
We spent our afternoon chasing waves, dodging seaweed, and talking all things Bluey and the Wiggles. It turns out I'm not nearly as caught up on Bluey episodes as I thought after chatting with Jules's kids :)
Whilst initially a bit resistant, it didn't take long for the kids to warm up to me. Whenever I work with children I tend to let them run the session. Don't want to sit still for the camera? No problems. I'm happy to run alongside little ones and let them have fun.
It was such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with these amazing humans and watch them interact and have fun with each other. And the best part of the job? Catching these genuine smiles.
